After 2 weeks my main cashier will be back.
All my Halloween is out and signed.
Christmas toys are out.

The drama never ends at work. Now my main cashier is in the hospital, first they thought pneumonia, now a dx of COPD. Who knows how long she will be out or if she will ever come back. They can't even tell her when she will go home.

Supposed to have some vacation days, not in the cards, gotta work.

After many days and no days off finally a day of rest. I am tired. I think I could sleep all day, but I can't, too much to do. The monster energy drink in the fridge is calling, I am going to need it.

On a bright note, before work yesterday took my NRA handgun course. Now off to the PD to
finish up my paperwork wait for my approval and get myself a revolver. Good stuff, exercising my
right as an American citizen. It's amazing, the **** on the street has a gun, I have to jump through
hoops of fire doused in gasoline to get one, I can wait, no big deal, it's just the point.

So, busy 2 days ahead. Off to Dr this morning, then work, tomorrow, excitement in the a.m. going for my gun permit, then work. Finally off a day, after so many in a row but tons to do before that, got to get more Halloween candy out, and Christmas toys out so we can get truck tomorrow, ahhhh last Saturday truck tomorrow for a bit I hope.
Good days otherwise, busy work days, I am happy for that.
Customer's are still inconsiderate, children being children but that's not necessarily good, you can tell when a child has been in an aisle like aspirin, everything at the 2' level is down on the floor and tags ripped off.
If parents would just watch their kids..........

Our chain is up, such progress. Took years, but we finally wont have to fight with people to not block our driveways, throw condoms and garbage on our lawns or drug packets either. It was a letter writing campaign, but the end result was perfect. Thanks to the city officials who made it happen.

Too busy today, too much to do, not enough time to do it all. Tomorrow is another day I suppose.

A new development, the kids in the neighborhood don't like said chain so now they are taking it
down so they can ride their bikes through. It's always something.

well, so our no parking signs are posted. Now we wait for the Friday soccer players from NY to come. This will be interesting.

When you are on Facebook it says you have so many friends. It's kind of a lie. I need a favor. I asked 4 people, friends you may say on Facebook, not much of a response, just a letter saying how long they have know me and that I am a good person. I am getting a gun permit. Now I must ask other people. So far
I have one letter, two to go.
I want to get this paperwork done so I can go to the police station, be fingerprinted, have my back round check and wait for my license, Oct 1 laws are changing so I don't want to wait.

It sounds sad, but I really don't have any friends, just acquaintances....that should be a Facebook button.

Wow so much going on lately. Work is insane. All the seasons at once now-summer, bts,harvest,Halloween,early Christmas........really? then a remodel at another store. ok. then someone
on vacation. ok. gotta give everyone else 2 days off. Kim. no days off. ok. whatever.
Remodel at the school by the house. A road where there never in 60+ years  was one.
Now a never ending nightmare of cars and parker's I am on a letter writing campaign, not having a
lot of luck, did have people out measuring, marking, then all activity stopped. More writing, and waiting.
Pack of NY's play soccer every Friday here, no soccer fields in NY? block the entire road. Could not get
an ambulance through if you had to. No one cares.
Progress is a good thing, but not when it affects an entire neighborhood.

Well, another long day. I can't seem to get Easter done. Have to finish it tomorrow, no matter what. I am just way over tired right now.
Plenty of "laundry" lookers today. A laundry looker is someone from the
laundromat that comes into the store not to buy anything but to just bide
their time waiting for their unmentionables. They wander the aisles, touching
everything but buying nothing, they mix things up by sending their children in, they send in 5 or 6 kids with $1 to buy candy for them all. So guess how it works. They buy a push pop, that's 1, then when I get distracted, they steal the rest, leaving the wrappings in the boxes. Nice.

So another day. Trying to get all the holiday merchandise out. What a lesson in futility. I should really do this while the store is closed. Why is it that every single person has to come down the aisle I am working in? There are 7 other aisles.
Oh are you putting out Easter? Really? What was your first clue, the peeps or the Easter baskets?
Truth be told I love to work and my job but it's just easier to work when the store is closed and there are no customers.
Tomorrows is another day, got to wrap this up and move onto another giant project.

Must customer service really be this difficult? Why is it that parents can't watch their children, but just drop them off while they shop and let their children run wild? I  don't blame the child, I blame the adults, but say something and see what happens.
